It's finally Fall

Can you feel the change in the air? The colors shifting around you? The cooler temps and shorter days? All the signs of fall are here and I’m ready for it.

I realize that living in Northern California is hardly representative of the beautiful fall colors in other parts of the country (and world) but even a little break in the heat and slight change in the colors feels exciting.

Fall always reminds me that the unrelenting heat of summer doesn’t in fact last forever. And the leaves that wilted away in the hot temps in fact need to drop off, pile up, and make room for new growth in the spring.

And I love the beauty in it all.

Because change really can be beautiful.

I know it’s uncomfortable and there can be terrible uncertainty in change, but it can also be really amazing.

Change is there to stretch you in ways you didn’t know you needed. It’s there to teach you patience as you sit in the process. It’s also there to remind you that it doesn’t happen overnight.

So in celebration of fall, what change do you need to prompt in your own relationship? Where do you need to push out of your comfort zone in order to create some movement? What do you need to re-commit to in order to see the benefit of change in love?

Take some time to slow down with your partner this week, answer these questions, and make a plan for change.

You got this!
