The Good Stuff

I’m lucky enough to be married to someone who also believes in noticing the little things.

He calls it the “good stuff”. And he has an uncanny way of pointing it out at the most perfect times.

Like when we’re cleaning up the kitchen after dinner and the kids are being absolutely nutty and he’ll look at me with a smile on his face and quietly say, “this is the good stuff”.

Or when I’m sitting at my son’s baseball game and my husband looks at me as they come off the field and nods his head and mouths, “the good stuff”.

He has an ability to see the good stuff, right there in the simplicity of everyday life. Something I wish I was a whole lot better at.

And that is my encouragement for you today…

Slow down enough to notice the good stuff.

It’s not easy to find the good in amongst the busy, the hectic, and the wacky AND yet it’s an absolute gift when you CAN notice it.

I’m committed to slowing down enough to start noticing all of the good stuff, and until I get better at it… I’m going to keep being grateful that I have someone in my life who slows me down and points it out to me.

And I hope you have that someone too.

Until next week,

-A

P.S. Stuck in the heavy or the bad? Struggling to notice the good stuff? Reach out! That’s what I’m here for.
