Team Up with Your Partner to Reach Goals

I know I’m not alone in the countless home projects my husband and I have taken on over the last few months. Our projects haven’t including demo’ing a kitchen or remodeling a bathroom, but they’ve been significant just the same. Being home… A LOT MORE… has opened our eyes to chipped paint, unnoticed clutter, and an overall polishing that our previous life’s busyness kept hidden (or ignored).

Lately, our attention has turned to the backyard where we have dove into some bigger projects that require both of our expertise… my aesthetic vision and his brawn. Usually, at this point in the summer, we’ve been so busy with summer travel, baseball games, and the restart of school, that our backyard has become poorly neglected. But not this year. Instead, it’s starting to look much more like the oasis that I’ve always envisioned.

The most satisfying part of our backyard project is seeing what we’ve worked hard to create together. From the vision to the execution, the whole thing has really helped us slow down and see that working together not only grows a beautiful backyard but a stronger connection between the two of us. Something that requires both of us to create, is a connection power tool.

And that is my encouragement to you this week…

Take some time to tackle a goal together.

See what can grow when the two of you need to rely on each other to reach that goal together. Let your shared vision (re)connect the two of you.

I can’t wait to hear how it all comes together.

Yours,
