Love should be fun!
Love takes work. As much as it would be nice to buy into the Hollywood fantasy that true love is effortless and easy… the truth is you’d be up a creek if you put no intentional work or consistent effort into your relationship.
With that being said, working on your relationship shouldn’t be punishing. It should yield rewards. Big ones, small ones, unexpected ones, and everything in between.
That’s why it’s important to make working on love fun… because at the end of the day, if it’s all work and no play… you will not keep at it.
My encouragement to you this week is to….
Make working on love fun.
How can you create habits of celebration and patterns of appreciation to make putting the work into your relationship fun? What do you need to change in your approach to relationship growth and maintenance so that you actually do it? Where can you create some rewards to incentivize putting in the work?
Take a moment, sit down with your mate, and answer these questions. And don’t forget to make working on love fun!
Yours,
-A
