Out with the old, in with the new.
I can’t believe we’re in the final days of 2024!
How did another year pass and where in the world did the time go?
There are lots of reasons that this time of year is one of my favorites, but one thing I love to do as the year winds down is really look at where I spent my time and energy throughout the year. I then, very compassionately, compare that to the goals I wrote down for the year.
I really want to know if I put my money where my mouth is. Did I do what I said I was going to do or did I get distracted in all the right (or wrong) ways?
Sometimes this can be quite sobering and other times it’s filled with lots of celebration. But most of the time, it’s really the greatest recalibration.
And it’s the best way for me to go into a new year fully embracing what I want to take with me and what I want to release in the past.
I encourage you and your partner to conduct a grounded ‘out with the old and in with the new’ conversation.
There is so much goodness and synchronization that can come from this conversation. Pour yourselves a glass of something bubbly and dive into talking about what you’re so proud of, what you want to change, and how you’re going to get there…together.
I can’t wait to hear what you come up with.
Until next year,
-A
P.S. I’d love to hear what your 2025 relationship goals are. Or what you’re both committed to leaving in the past. Send me an email with any of your ‘out with the old, in with the new’ conversations outtakes.
