We all know that relationships take work and Lord knows we’ve all been reminded of it… over and over again. And I’m not here to discredit or disagree with the sentiment at all.

But, I am here to remind you that when your relationship feels simple, easy, and fun… celebrate it. Sometimes simple, easy, and fun can send alarm bells to you that ‘bad’ is on the horizon. Or, you find yourself waiting for the other shoe to drop when things feel too ‘good’. Or, you become the fun police by pointing out what went wrong when so much is going right. Don’t do that.

Don’t pop the balloon just because you think it’s rising up too high.

Instead….

Embrace the times that feel simple, easy, and fun.

Celebrate them. Relish them. Share them. 

When your relationship feels simple, easy, and fun… that’s a good thing. And it deserves recognition. It means the two of you are in a sweet spot that is worth some gratitude. It means the hard work you’ve put in is paying off. It means you’ve got some extra reserves to pull from when things get lean again. And all of that is certainly worth celebrating. 

Embrace simple, easy, and fun. It’s there to remind you of all the right reasons you’re doing life together!
