School’s Out for Summa’

We did it!! I did it! They did it!!

I’m so excited to celebrate my two sweet kiddos who just finished 4th grade AND their first uninterrupted school year since FIRST GRADE!!

And the summer we are going to have! I know it will be all parts fun, sunny, chaotic, boring, and full of adventures. And I’m here for all of it.

My biggest goal this summer is to…

Take the time to unplug.

We have travel planned, downtime woven in, and hours open to help my kids learn the beauty of boredom. Oh, and I still need to remember to work and see my clients.

But amongst all of that, I want to unplug from the distractions of alerts, beeps, and dings and instead plug into a summer full of fullness.

And I want to encourage you to do the same…

To find the time to unplug.

As much as I’d love to, it’s not realistic or feasible for me to unplug for a whole summer… I do have a business to keep running.  But, even if it’s for a few hours or heck even a whole day… I’m determined to unplug from the things that don’t need as much of my attention in order to really plug into those that I do life with!

Which means I’m going to set some alarms on my phone to remind me to hide it away, I’m going to leave my laptop in my office on most nights, and I’m going to practice the art of doing a bit of nothing.

And I do hope you’ll join me!!

We can do this!!
