What do you APPRECIATE about your partner?

We all have different strengths, especially in our relationships.  And yet one of the most damaging things we can do is assign a value to “different”.  Meaning, the strengths I bring are good, the ones you bring are bad. This is toxic to any relationship, especially to your partnership.

The truth is your relationship thrives on having complementary strengths. Not exact replicas of each other, but complementary.

And the best way to find those complementary strengths is to sit back, take a deep breath, and really ask yourself what you appreciate your partner. What are they good at that you just struggle with? Where do they shine when you’re needing them? What natural gifts do they have that you get to benefit from, just by being in a relationship with them?  I know they have them… otherwise, you wouldn’t have coupled up in the first place.

I encourage you to ask yourself, what do I appreciate about my partner, and share it with them today!

Look at those differences as pure gold and show that appreciation to each other.

Until next week,
