It's Time to Have Some Fun!

We’re returning home today from a week away in Oregon… our last family trip for the summer.

And I just want to say, it was a blast.

I forgot how much fun it was to just play together.

Hiking, swimming, countless card games and so much silly.

As a person who tends to be a little too task-oriented, it was the perfect mixture of disconnecting from life’s stressors and really plugging into each other.

I sometimes wish that every day could be like vacation… a glass of wine in the late afternoon, no real need for bedtimes and more s’mores than a girl could count… but I guess I just wouldn’t appreciate it the same if it was every day.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t find opportunities to ignore to-do lists, endless piles of post-vacation laundry, and an empty fridge in need of groceries in order to…

Be playful together.

Even though summer is winding down, that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.

How can you make sure that play is a regular part of your relationship?

What do you need to do… together… to be sure you’re saying “no” to distractions and “yes” to each other?

I’m here to encourage you in all the ways I can and I hope it’s in reminding the two of you to be more playful.

Take some time to play together this week… your relationship will thank you for it.

Until next week,

-A

P.S. I can’t wait to fill you in on what I’ve been working on. Keep an eye on your inbox… there’s a really cool announcement I have coming your way in just over a week!!
