Memories and time over material.

How’s your holiday shopping going?

Are you completely overwhelmed?

Fully done and wrapped?

Haven’t even started?

Well… I’m somewhere in the middle. Partly because my kids are reaching an age where gifts look different. They’ve grown out of most of their “play” toys and short of buying more Nerf guns for their arsenal, I’m realizing that where I really want to invest my resources and what has always served me best is to…

Invest in memories…because they last longer than stuff.

As I’ve shared before, I like to spend the holiday season taking part in family traditions and doing lots of things together.

And, as much fun as it is to open a gaggle of gifts, I also know that eventually those items break, rip, or get passed along to someone else.

But the memories, those last forever.

Taking the time to invest TIME into each other allows the two of you to have gifts that last a lifetime… and not in a cheesy ad for jewelry sort of way.

When you invest in time together, you get to deepen your “story of us”.

The more shared experiences you have, the more you’re able to pull from them when times get tense.

The more shared experiences you have, the more you get to know one another.

And the more shared experiences you have, the more you get to grow together.

Take the time to invest in memories this year, it may be just what the two of you need to walk through the holidays… connected and in sync.

I can’t wait to hear about the memories and the time you’re investing in together!

Until next week,

-A
