Lean Into Your Partner
Why is asking for help so hard?
Is it because it feels like you’re admitting defeat?
Does it make you feel too vulnerable?
Is it because it reminds you that you truly don’t have your stuff together?
Whatever the reason is, asking for help can feel like a struggle.
And yet, I believe one of the biggest benefits you have in your relationship is not having to walk through hard times alone. Of being able to ask for help and know someone’s got your back.
Despite this being a huge opportunity in partnerships, it’s also one that rarely gets taken advantage of.
I realize that asking for help is hard… but so is suffering alone.
Being together means supporting each other. It means helping each other. It means picking each other up when one is struggling.
Let today’s message be a reminder to…
Lean on each other.
Ask for help. Be vulnerable. Turn towards each other.
The practice of admitting that you can’t do it all on your own… it’s a thing of beauty when you have someone to lean on.
You can do this.
Until next week,
