What's your relationships story?

Do you have any good storytellers in your life?

You know, that one family member or friend that starts to tell a story and you instantly find yourself leaning in… hanging on every word.

Hopefully, you do. My mother-in-law was an amazing storyteller and she passed that trait onto my husband. In fact, she used to always say, “don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story”. Which I always thought was so endearing and sweet when it comes to storytelling.

One of the amazing things about storytelling is that it connects you. It allows you to travel down a road with another and share in each other’s experiences. In fact, storytelling has great connective power in your relationship.

And there is no greater person to story-tell with than your mate. Taking the time to tell stories to one another has so many great benefits. It allows you to share parts of you, your history, your experiences. And when you story-tell about times you shared together, it can reconnect you in all sorts of magical ways.

I encourage you to take some time and story-tell together… reminisce on how you met and what first attracted you to each other. Let the details pour out you as you pour into each other.

I can’t wait to hear about the memories that rise to the surface as you slow down and take the time to tell the “story of us” to each other.

Until next week,
A

P.S. If you’re feeling stuck, trying to remember the good stuff in your relationship, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to support you two in getting unstuck so you can create new and amazing memories together.
