Love Is Like A Garden

It’s definitely springtime and my garden is looking very interesting this year.

Usually, my household is out of their minds busy this time of year as my husband coaches my son’s baseball team, I help coach my daughter’s softball team and we’re racing between diamonds to catch all of their games.  All of this madness usually results in my garden looking very neglected and in need of some time and attention.

Well, as you can imagine, all I have right now is time… and I’m trying to be grateful for it.

So with that being said, I had A LOT of time on my hands this weekend to be able to put in a lovely garden.  I’m so excited to see what will (hopefully) begin to grow this summer.

I even put reminders in my phone to water on the regular, because I’m not above realizing that my forgetfulness (and busyness) is the exact reason I don’t have a green thumb.  So barring any visits from Peter Rabbit or some other pesky critter, I will have fruits, veggie and herbs in abundance this summer.

And that really is my relationship tip for the week. To create a regular and daily practice to nurture your love relationship. Research shows that small things done often in love will create the most connection in your relationship.

And I want that for you!  Because putting in daily work yields big rewards in love.

Take some time this week to put connection back on your daily schedule. Don’t be above scheduling time and setting reminders. Yes, we want to believe that spontaneity is the key to excitement in love. But the truth is, trusting in spontaneity can often leave you inconsistent and disappointed.

Put into practice the art of daily connection and you will surely reap the abundant benefits.

Yours,

-A
