Say ‘no’ to it all!

I love this season of celebration. From the start of Fall to mid-January, you can find me with a huge smile on my face, ready to take in whatever the extended season has to offer.

I like to do it all… I want to do it all… I really shouldn’t do it all.

Because the truth is, more fun doesn’t always equal more fun.

And really what serves us better, is leaving situations (or seasons) wanting more. If you’ve made yourself sick on too many sweets, exhausted from too much socializing, and cranky from too much racing around, then you’re not celebrating the season (or really whatever season of life you may be in). You’re grimacing to get through it… because…

You don’t have to do everything.

Nor should you! That is my encouragement this week… to try not to do it all.

Ask for help, throw up the white flag, toss expectations out the window and just take a beat.

Carve out a comfy spot in front of the fire, snuggle up just the two of you and let it all just be.

Enjoy the season for the gifts it has to offer and don’t try and do it all!

I’m working on this right alongside you.

P.S. I’d love to hear some of the ways you’re slowing down and saying ‘no’ to doing it all. What are your best unwind and restore tips? Reply to this email as I’d love to hear from you.
