What sort of new are you creating?

I’m so excited about the momentum from last week and how you shared your relationship resolutions with me. And it’s not too late, to press reply and send them on over… I want to be a cheerleader in your process.

One of the most popular ones I heard from you all, was around working to spend more time together… which is awesome.

And one piece of encouragement I have to share with you when it comes to spending time together is to…

Try something new.

Spending time together is beyond important and it’s even more valuable when it’s intentional time together.  As in not just sitting on opposite ends of the couch watching the same show.  Spending time together is really about leaning into connection and communication.

And one of the best ways to do that is by trying something new together.

Trying something new has the benefit of pushing you both outside of your comfort zones… just enough to help you to rely on each other a bit more.

It helps the two of you create new memories, not only because you’re trying something new, but because you’re growing different parts of your relationship by stretching it in ways it’s not usually stretched.

I encourage you to talk about the new things you’d like to try… a cooking class, dance lessons or even taking a walk in a new neighborhood... and get it on the calendar.

Take the time to try something new together and allow that newness to bring the two of you closer together.

I’m cheering for you,

-A

P.S. Struggling to come up with ideas on new ways to spend time together? Reach out… I’ve got a ton of ideas to share.
