What Kind Of "Baggage" Is Weighing You Down?
I fly out this week to speak at a couple’s conference in Kauai…yes, Kauai. It absolutely lights me up to travel and speak on all things relationships, as I truly believe the quality of your partnership has a direct impact on your joy and success.
I’m in the middle of packing, which basically means I’m taking the time to write this instead of pack because well, I HATE packing. I’m the worst over-packer you’ve met and ALWAYS come home from a week away with having only worn about 1/3 of the things in my suitcase. I dream of being the person that can travel with just a small carry on. I fill up so much space with items I literally DON’T use and it drives me bonkers.
All this got me thinking about the relationship tip for this week: Don’t let the past take up space in the present.
Take a moment to think about the luggage you carry around each day… are there things in that you’re packing away that no longer serve a purpose? Are you packing your daily suitcase with worries and fears that are outdated?
Take some time this week to really ask yourself these questions. I don’t want you taking up space today with pain from the past. Unpacking and releasing these things can be of great benefit to your relationship.
Safe travels my friend and here’s to carrying a lighter load.
Yours truly,
-A
