Slow and Steady Wins in Love!

Consistency has to be one of the hardest (and most crucial) things when it comes to change.

We all want to believe (or maybe it’s just me) that committing to things sporadically or putting in the intermittent effort can make a difference.

Sadly, it really doesn’t. The best way to make a difference is to be much more like the tortoise.

Slow and steady.

Which may be a wonderful recipe for success, but it’s also really hard to see the progress and growth you’re making when the results aren’t unfolding rapidly.

Which is why… when the two of you are working hard to change communication patterns or improve the ways you slow down and connect, you need to create a way to measure your progress.

If you don’t have a way to know (and see) how each consistent effort makes a difference… you’ll throw your hands up in frustration. Take the time to track your progress, celebrate consistency and gain perspective of all the work you’re putting into your relationship.

Remember, big change takes consistent action. And you need to be there, by each other’s side, helping each other notice the beautiful progress you’re making together.

I know you can do it!

P.S. If the work of change in love is looking a bit too slow and not very steady, please reach out. I’m here to help with consistent action!
